# Markdown docs and LLM-friendly references
Scheduler Zero publishes its CLI, REST API and MCP documentation as readable web pages and as plain Markdown. The text formats are generated from the same sources as the web references, so agents and scripts can read the actual command, operation and schema documentation without browser rendering.
## Copy a page as Markdown
Every docs page has **Copy as Markdown** and a **Markdown** link in its toolbar. Copy fetches that page's complete Markdown and writes it to your clipboard. It is not a screenshot, selected text fragment or summary. If clipboard access is unavailable, open the Markdown link and copy or save the text manually.
Copying public documentation does not authenticate an agent or give it product access. Product API/MCP calls still require an appropriate credential and permissions. Do not paste credentials into documentation prompts.
## Read one page
Append `.md` to a canonical page path:
| Rendered page | Markdown |
| --- | --- |
| [Docs overview](/) | [`/index.md`](/index.md) |
| [CLI overview](/cli) | [`/cli.md`](/cli.md) |
| [CLI authentication](/cli/authentication) | [`/cli/authentication.md`](/cli/authentication.md) |
| [Campaign list command](/cli/commands/campaigns-list) | [`/cli/commands/campaigns-list.md`](/cli/commands/campaigns-list.md) |
| [MCP guide](/mcp) | [`/mcp.md`](/mcp.md) |
| [MCP tool directory](/mcp/tools) | [`/mcp/tools.md`](/mcp/tools.md) |
| [REST API guide](/rest-api) | [`/rest-api.md`](/rest-api.md) |
| [Complete REST reference](/rest-api/reference) | [`/rest-api/reference.md`](/rest-api/reference.md) |
Individual tool pages support the same convention, for example `/mcp/tools/<tool_name>.md`. Use a real tool name from [the directory](/mcp/tools) or [the discovery guide](/mcp/discovery); the placeholder is not a literal URL. Existing `/references/text/...md` downloads remain available.
```bash
curl --fail --silent --show-error \
https://docs.schedulerzero.com/cli/authentication.md
```
The API reference export is complete and can be large. For a narrower question, read a guide or an individual MCP tool page before fetching the full reference.
## Read a section
`llms.txt` is a linked index. `llms-full.txt` contains the section's complete Markdown bodies, separated by page headings and source URLs:
| Scope | Index | Full text |
| --- | --- | --- |
| All developer docs | [llms.txt](/llms.txt) | [llms-full.txt](/llms-full.txt) |
| CLI guides and commands | [cli/llms.txt](/cli/llms.txt) | [cli/llms-full.txt](/cli/llms-full.txt) |
| MCP guides and tools | [mcp/llms.txt](/mcp/llms.txt) | [mcp/llms-full.txt](/mcp/llms-full.txt) |
| MCP tool reference only | [mcp/tools/llms.txt](/mcp/tools/llms.txt) | [mcp/tools/llms-full.txt](/mcp/tools/llms-full.txt) |
| REST guides and operations | [rest-api/llms.txt](/rest-api/llms.txt) | [rest-api/llms-full.txt](/rest-api/llms-full.txt) |
Start with an index to discover the right page, then fetch its Markdown URL. A full-text export includes descriptions and schemas; it does not substitute for authentication, live permission checks or operation confirmations.
## Machine-readable catalogs
- [CLI catalog](/cli/catalog.json): package version, command names/usages, options, descriptions and underlying API-operation names.
- [OpenAPI 3.1](/openapi.json): authenticated REST request/response schemas and operation metadata.
- [MCP catalog](/mcp-catalog.json): exact tool descriptions, credential input variants and output schemas.
- [Generated authentication and RBAC](/auth.md): credential lanes, policy and endpoint permission declarations.
- [Public documentation MCP](/mcp/discovery): `find_tools` searches product MCP metadata without a product credential.
An agent can use these resources to decide which interface to call. The CLI catalog describes executable CLI commands; the MCP catalog describes MCP tools, not shell subcommands. Use [the CLI/API/MCP overview](/) to choose the interface matching your workflow.
