# Scheduler Zero documentation

Scheduler Zero exposes a CLI, MCP tools and a REST API backed by the same workspace-scoped permissions.

- [Connect with MCP](/mcp): Give Claude, Codex, Cursor, and other MCP clients access to Scheduler Zero tools.
- [Use the CLI](/cli): Sign in with browser consent or use an API key from npx, bunx, pnpm dlx, or another Node package runner.
- [Use the REST API](/rest-api): Create campaigns, manage leads, subscribe to webhooks, and query your workspace.
- [Download OpenAPI](/openapi.json): Use the machine-readable OpenAPI 3.1 contract in your own SDK or tooling.

## CLI guides

[Install sz](/cli/installation), follow the [CLI quickstart](/cli/quickstart),
review [browser consent and API-key authentication](/cli/authentication), then
use the [command reference](/cli/commands) and [scripting recipes](/cli/scripting).
The [CLI troubleshooting guide](/cli/troubleshooting) explains login, registry,
workspace and output errors.

## Before you begin

Create a personal API key under **Settings → Personal → API keys** in the Scheduler Zero app. A key acts as you: give it full access to your account, or restrict it to selected Organizations, Workspaces, and permissions. It never exceeds your own permissions.

Interactive MCP clients can use WorkOS AuthKit instead, so you do not need to copy a key into a desktop application.

The [`@scheduler-zero/sz` CLI](/cli) uses the same API permissions and
workspace scoping. `npx @scheduler-zero/sz auth login` opens a browser consent
screen where you choose selected or all workspaces and full or read-only
permissions before creating a restricted credential for the CLI.

## For agents

Find capabilities before connecting: the public [documentation MCP](/mcp/discovery) exposes `find_tools`, with exact schema links and permission scopes. It requires no product credential.

- [llms.txt](/llms.txt): documentation index and reference links.
- [llms-full.txt](/llms-full.txt): complete guides, REST operations and MCP tool schemas.
- [Markdown and LLM-friendly docs](/markdown): copy any page or fetch its `.md` version.
- [CLI text](/cli/llms-full.txt), [MCP index](/mcp/llms.txt), and [REST index](/rest-api/llms.txt): section-specific agent references.
- [auth.md](/auth.md): generated authentication, RBAC, permissions and endpoint policies.
- [Architecture and access control](/architecture): how requests move through the system.
- [Authentication and authorization](/authentication): credentials, roles and delegated access.
