# sz auth logout

The `sz auth logout` command is part of the [Scheduler Zero CLI](/cli). Deletes the local saved credential and workspace preference. It does not contact the product API, revoke the server-side key or end your browser session. Environment-provided credentials remain available until removed from the environment. Repeating logout when no saved file exists succeeds.

## Usage

```bash
sz auth logout [options]
```

If you have not installed `sz` globally, replace `sz` in the usage above with `npx --yes @scheduler-zero/sz@latest` or `bunx @scheduler-zero/sz@latest`, preserving the arguments and options. See [installation](/cli/installation).

## Options

| Option | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| `--json` | Emit machine-readable JSON |
| `--format table\|json` | Select output format |
| `-h, --help` | Show this help |

## Examples

The UUIDs below are illustrative; use IDs from your own visible workspaces and campaigns.

```bash
sz auth logout
sz auth logout --json
```

## Output and side effects

Default output is Logged out.; JSON output is {"loggedIn":false}. This describes local logout, not server-side revocation.

## Authorization

No product credential is required to remove the local file. Revoke the key separately in Settings → Personal → API keys to disable its use everywhere.

## Underlying operations

Local configuration only; no product API operation.

Browser issuance stays a human-approved handoff where applicable; the command does not bypass that boundary. The exact product operation schemas are in [OpenAPI](/openapi.json) and [the REST Markdown reference](/rest-api/reference.md). For broader capabilities, use [MCP tools](/mcp/tools).
